The Kofola Welcome Stage is the gateway for emerging talent at Slunovrat. Every year, ten performers are selected through an open competition and get the opportunity to showcase their music not only to the festival audience, but also to music editors and journalists who regularly discover fresh talent at Slunovrat.
Radio Proglas music editor Milan Tesař has chosen nine acts from this year’s submissions, with the tenth performer being added as a wild card by the head of the Kofola Welcome Stage. For one lucky band, this is just the beginning – they’ll earn a spot on the main stage at Slunovrat Festival in 2027. Two other bands will get to perform at Maraton hudby Brno 2026. All the selected artists will be featured on Radio Proglas and in other media, and each act will receive CZK 5,000.
The open call for the Kofola Welcome Stage closed on 15 December 2025. The results will be announced on 31 January 2026 at 6:00 pm on the Slunovrat YouTube channel.

This year, 133 bands applied for the Kofola Welcome Stage – 106 from the Czech Republic, 10 from Slovakia, and surprisingly, China came in third with 8 applications. Many thanks to everyone who applied!
