Slunovrat Winter Edition, Part Two – Robert Křesťan & Druhá tráva, Rufus Miller and Chyba systému

The second evening of Slunovrat Winter Edition 2026 has three great events in store! On Saturday 14 November, St Wenceslas Church in Opava will host an evening that begins with a live discussion of current affairs before moving on to bluegrass, folk, and British alternative rock.

The programme begins at 5 pm with a live recording of Chyba systému, a Czech Radio Plus podcast exploring Czech politics and society. Together with their guests, the hosts look beyond the headlines, explore the bigger picture, and get to the heart of the issues affecting our everyday lives. This time, Slunovrat audiences will have the chance to see the hosts in action.

At 7 pm, Robert Křesťan & Druhá tráva will take the stage. Celebrating 35 years together, the band are among the leading names in Czech folk, bluegrass, and country music. Led by charismatic singer-songwriter Robert Křesťan, they have spent more than three decades developing a distinctive sound that blends American roots music with a uniquely Czech lyrical sensibility. They’ll also perform songs from their new album, Memphis, recorded in the American city famous for its rich musical heritage.

The evening’s final performance begins at 9 pm, when British guitarist, singer, and songwriter Rufus Miller takes the stage as part of his Stripped Back Basement Tour. Having previously worked with Sting, Miller will be joined by bassist Andy Thompson. Their more intimate, stripped-back arrangements bring out both the raw edge and melodic strength of songs that draw on alternative rock, grunge, and psychedelia.
