Marie Zelbová a Lucia Piussi (SK)

Two remarkable women, literature, music, and stories that refuse to shy away from difficult truths. Marie Zelbová and Lucia Piussi come together at Slunovrat’s Literary Salon for an evening of raw honesty, personal stories, and an unflinching look at the world around us.
Marie Zelbová will read from her book Táňa, Praha 3, Žižkov, in which she revisits a childhood spent amid the turbulence of Prague’s underground scene in the late 1980s and early 1990s. This deeply personal account of growing up in a time of uncertainty and social change was brought to life through the collaboration of three generations of women: a mother who lived through the events, a daughter who put her story into words, and a granddaughter who designed the book.
The musical side of the evening belongs to Slovak singer-songwriter Lucia Piussi, best known as the frontwoman of the cult band Živé kvety. In an intimate solo performance, she will share her direct, emotionally charged songs, weaving together personal experience and pressing social issues. Two artists, two different ways of telling stories, united by a determination to speak openly and without pretence.
